The blue dress was a hit at my brother’s wedding. Plus, I was a whole lot more comfortable in it than many of the other women there. AND, since I didn’t spend any money on the dress, I let myself buy a new necklace to wear with it.
In other craft news, I did quite a bit of knitting the past several days and managed to get my cubist socks finished. I’m very pleased with them…probably my best fitting socks yet. It helped that I learned the Old Norwegian cast on; it gives me a lot more stretch in the cuff than the long-tail cast on.
I’m now working on a second pair to give to my mom. Here is the yarn I’m using. Mochi is helping me by holding down the pattern.
